Interior Design in the Americas
There is a natural affinity between British interior design and what many American clients are looking for. The layered approach to interiors, the emphasis on craft and collected character, the willingness to mix periods and references with confidence are all qualities that London designers are known for, and they sit at the heart of how Howark works. Our perspective offers something distinct from a domestic US studio, and with much of the design process undertaken remotely from London, from concept development and material selection through to detailed specifications, working with a British designer is far more accessible than it might appear.
Our first American interior design project, a family home in Virginia, set the tone for how we approach work in the US. The clients wanted a home that looked like no one else's, and we were happy to deliver. We combined eclectic influences and periods of style to create an interior that is bold, characterful and designed around how a young family actually lives. It is a project that captures the Howark approach at its most expressive.
We have established contacts across the United States and a growing presence in the American market. Whether it is a townhouse in Manhattan, a coastal home in the Hamptons or a family property in California, we bring the same creative ambition, technical expertise and personal approach that defines our interior design work in London and internationally.
We are also open to conversations about boutique hotel interior design and commercial projects in the Americas. Our growing experience of working internationally, across Europe, Africa and the Caribbean, means we are well equipped to manage the logistics and relationships that overseas commissions require.
If you have a property in the Americas and are considering an interior design project, we would welcome a conversation.
We work on properties across the United States, Virginia, New York, Manhattan, the Hamptons, Connecticut, Boston, Palm Beach, Miami, California, Los Angeles, San Francisco and the wider Americas.
