A Global Point of View

The best design partnerships are built on trust, shared vision and expertise, not geography. From our London studio, Howark works with clients internationally, bringing a global perspective on interior design, a trusted network and a meticulous approach to every detail to exceptional spaces around the world.

International Interior
Design

Why London, and Why Howark?

London sits at the crossroads of global design, drawing together influences from Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. Its position between continents makes it an ideal base for managing interior design projects across time zones, but it is the culture of the city itself that shapes the way we work. Howark brings a distinctly international perspective to every project, creating spaces that feel sophisticated and layered rather than tied to a single regional aesthetic. At the same time, we take real care to draw on vernacular architecture and cultural references so that each space feels genuinely rooted in its setting. The result is design that is worldly in its outlook but specific to its place.

Over the years, we have built a strong and trusted network of manufacturers, craftspeople, art advisors, logistics specialists and suppliers around the world. These relationships, combined with years of working with international clients, and our own personal experiences have given us a natural fluency in balancing diverse tastes, lifestyles and cultural sensibilities. They allow us to commission and source with confidence, manage procurement efficiently and ensure the quality and character of every piece, no matter how far it has to travel.

Creative Partnership Over Proximity

Our priority is always to create spaces that enrich the experience of those who use them. However, considered and well-executed interior design also enhances a property's appeal, desirability and long-term value as an asset. The two go hand in hand.

International properties deserve more than a safe, formulaic interior. Every Howark project is driven by a genuine creative ambition: to produce spaces that are layered, characterful and original, We work closely with artists, specialist makers and craftspeople to commission bespoke pieces, source antiques with provenance and curate collections that give each design project a distinct identity. Whether it is a hand-painted mural by a contemporary artist, a palette drawn from the surrounding landscape or furniture designed specifically for the room it inhabits, our work is shaped by careful curation. The most compelling spaces are those with a point of view.

We've always believed the most successful interior design projects are driven by a shared vision and a strong designer-client relationship. A designer who truly understands your vision, your aesthetic and your priorities will deliver a more personal and cohesive result than one chosen simply because they're nearby. We also believe the process of undertaking an interior design project itself should be a pleasure. Designing a home is one of the most personal investments you can make, and we approach every project with energy, openness and a collaborative spirit that makes the experience as rewarding as the outcome.

Much of the design process can be carried out remotely, from concept development and material selection to detailed drawings and specifications. What matters is clear, consistent communication with the wider project team, and we place great emphasis on this throughout. Site visits are reserved for the moments that count: initial surveys, key design reviews and final installation. This approach keeps projects moving efficiently while ensuring nothing is lost in the detail.

Thoughtful Design, Lasting Value

Where We Work

Howark's projects to date span three continents; We have designed safari lodges in East Africa, restored heritage villas on the Greek islands, created family homes in the United States and transformed townhouses and period properties across London and the wider UK. While our roots are in residential design, the principles that guide our work apply equally to hospitality, boutique commercial and other design-led projects, and we welcome enquiries from clients exploring these areas. Our work has been recognised by House & Garden, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Country & Townhouse and The Sunday Times, among others.

In an increasingly connected world, exceptional interior design is no longer limited by location.
